Height Copilot Review: AI Project Tool (Shutting Down 2025)

Height Copilot set out to be the autonomous brain behind product team workflows, using AI to handle the tedious parts of project management so humans could focus on building. Rather than acting as just another task tracker, it aimed to actively participate in the process—triaging incoming bugs, pruning stale backlog items, and keeping specifications current without constant manual oversight. Designed with flexibility in mind, Height positioned itself as a tool that could flex across an entire organization, not just engineering. Product managers, developers, and cross-functional teams could all lean on it for collaboration, tracking, and prioritization in one shared space. Its core pitch was reducing the operational drag that typically bogs down growing product teams. Unfortunately, this vision is coming to an end. Height has announced it will fully discontinue its services on September 24th, 2025, meaning the tool is no longer a viable long-term option for teams evaluating project management software.

While active, teams used Height by setting up projects and inviting collaborators, then relying on its AI features to automatically sort incoming bugs, clean up outdated backlog items, and refresh specification documents.
